Charlotte turned 4 over the weekend! (I know it’s a few days late, but we have all been a little sick around here. Blech.)
We are all very excited about 4. Remember when birthdays took so long to come, and the next age up held so many promises?
Here’s sweet Charlotte as a fresh new baby. What a beautiful baby…a dark-skinned, blue-eyed beauty. We were so happy to have another baby! Lots of (well-meaning) people warned us that having a second baby would be really difficult…but we thought life was very easy for all of us with two sweet girls.

Our little Blueberry…Happy Birthday, Charlotte Rose. I remember you were such a snuggly baby, very thoughtful and quiet. You were always very friendly, but didn’t mind playing by yourself when Mommy asked you to.

You were Ivy’s best friend from the very beginning, and we were so happy to have another baby girl. Just 19 months apart, you two were attached at the hip from the beginning. We thought you really became fast friends when you were 4 months old and we moved you into a room with Ivy.

Wonderful and Delicious you were!

You are full of imagination, you love to count things, look at books, snuggle (still!) quietly with anyone who will sit with you, and you love to play with your brother. You love your Daddy and you remind us all the time of Aunt Abby.

You’re growing so fast…picking out your own clothes in the morning, learning to read, and learning to serve and love God and others.

We love you Charlotte Rosebud! Happy Birthday, beautiful girl. You’re a wonderful part of our family!
