Boots.  As in, I don’t know why I never thought of this before: galoshes for playing in the winter and spring mud.

They love them,

I love them,

and they clean up so much easier than sneakers.

Bring on the spring rain, and we will tromp through the garden and plant our seeds without fear.

We will also shuffle through the snow without getting our feet wet.

Next on the list:  haircut for Asher.

I love a fresh-from-a-nap little boy.  I gave him a big hug after this picture, and he asked to go take another nap.

Maybe we’ll hold off on the haircut a few more days.  I think the curls are starting to show.  Delicious!

The children-at-grandparents’ week is coming to an end.  I am pretty sure the kids had a blast (and grandparents too, I hope!), and we are so glad that they have the opportunity to spend weeks like this with each set of grandparents from time to time.

Here’s a sampling of what filled the week.  Apart from the whole snowed-in episode last weekend, which turned out to be quite pleasant.

::  baby gifts

::  quilting

::  summer pajamas (1 set down, one nightgown and one little boy’s pajamas to go)
